CH -F Prepares for 2009 ComuniTEE Golf Benefit Classic
The Community Hospital-Fairfax Development Council is preparing for its biggest
fundraiser for the hospital. The CommuniTEE Golf Benefit Classic will be August
28 and 29 at the Rock Port Golf and Country Club.
This year, the proceeds will help support the orthopedic clinic with new arthroscopic
equipment and instruments.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday morning, August 28. Golfers are invited
for lunch on Friday and Saturday, as well as other patrons who are not golfing but
would like to take part in the fundraiser. Guests’ lunch tickets for Friday and
Saturday are $5.00 and Saturday night dinner is $15.00. There is a social hour planned
for 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the course and Saturday night prior to dinner at the
Atchison County Memorial Building.
Teams are encouraged to register early on Thursday evening at the golf course, starting
at 5:30 p.m.
During Saturday night’s activities, winners for the annual grill raffle will be
drawn. This year, there is a new opportunity to win exciting prizes. Bucket Ball
will make its debut, offering several prizes that winners are able to chose. When
you purchase your ticket, you chose the prize you want to be eligible to win. Prizes
include a Dell laptop donated by Midwest Data Center, a TiVO DVR system with a year’s
service paid, $500 cash courtesy of the hospital’s medical staff, and a one night
stay plus golf passes to Riverside Golf Course in Riverside, Iowa. An “extra prize”
bucket gives you the chance to win several smaller prizes, like a $100 gift card
to Nebraska Furniture Mart or $50 gift certificates to R&L Fresh Country Meats
or Black Iron Grill Steakhouse in Rock Port, six Worlds Of Fun Passes or a $100
gift certificate to On-Site Golf Store in St. Joseph. You will be able to purchase
tickets for the grill raffle and Bucket Ball at the Fairfax Fair on August 22 and
during the golf tournament. Keep your eyes open in your town because Development
Council members will be traveling around their communities, giving people the chance
to buy tickets in advance.
Community Hospital-Fairfax welcomes the public to take part in this exciting event
and thanks the golfers for participating. Not only does this fundraiser contribute
money to the hospital, it also gives its staff and supporters an opportunity to
celebrate Northwest Missouri healthcare together.
