HHA among leaders in statewide quality
Named as finalist for annual Primaris
Home Health Quality Award
Fairfax, Mo-Community Hospital HHA,
a local provider of in-home health care assistance, has been recognized for high
quality standards on publicly-reported measures and a commitment to constant improvement
by the state’s federally-designated Medicare Quality Improvement Organization, Primaris.
Primaris announced that Community
Hospital HHA is among 21 finalists competing for this year’s Primaris Home Health
Quality Award. A total of 168 home
health agencies across Missouri were eligible for the award.
“Community Hospital HHA not only
stands among the highest rated in the state, but they have shown over the last year
that they have a continued dedication to seeking ever-higher standards,” said Richard
A. Royer, CEO of Primaris.
Primaris Home Health Quality Award
applicants are judged by a panel from the Columbia, MO based organization.
A variety of criteria are considered, including proven effort towards improving
quality, actual improvement, and providing care at or better than state and national
averages in at least six of 11 statistics (or “publicly reported measures”) as reported
to Medicare.
Publicly reported measures are collected
by Medicare and made available to the public online at
www.medicare.gov/HHCompare/.
The final award winner will be announced
during a ceremony on April 28 at the Missouri Alliance for Home Care’s 2008 conference
and exhibition in Osage Beach, MO.
Last year’s award went to Wright Memorial Hospital Home Health & Hospice in
Trenton, MO.
